Noises, sounds & sweet airs

A hand made artist’s book . The original inspiration came from John Cage’s Songbooks - which I had not seen at the time. Designed to provide inspiration for the creation of new music (despite the fact that I am completely musically illiterate - why would I let that stop me?). I envisaged something that was akin to a graphic score but just the briefest of sections to be developed by the musician / composer.

Digitally printed loose sheets are contained within a CD jewel case. They are a mixture of opaque, translucent and transparent pages which can be overlaid, combined, rearranged, rotated and flipped to provide a multitude of imagery.
